Steelers 26 – Vikings 9
If you’re looking for style points, watch America’s Got Talent. If you’re looking for a team that’s working out early-season kinks and molding an identity rewatch this game. There’s a lot to be happy about in a game where the defense is becoming an amoebic, swarming mass of relentless, charging, tackling Vandals. Perfect? Far from it, but we’re moving from the Old Guard to one when the former underclassmen are coming into their own.
The offense is starting to show its fangs as well. Le’Veon and Martavis are awakening and it’s only a matter of time until the Steelers offense explodes into a scoreboard-busting crescendo that makes the readout on a Vegas slot machine look like a game of Pong.
- Noticeable improvement over the Browns game
- Case Keenum did not present a great litmus test for the defense, but.. you take victories when you can get them
- We still haven’t cleaned up the penalties (10 for 72 yards)
